A sample monthly update
A look inside
The projects, lessons and useful ideas you'll find in my monthly update.
Hi, I'm Jevan.
I built this website to keep a better record of what I'm learning, making and collecting. The monthly update is a way to follow that work without remembering to check the site.
Here's a sample of what you can expect.
What I'm building
The website is a project in its own right: a home for my writing, books, projects and adventures. It started with a simple problem—useful things were scattered across too many places.
The next challenge is making it easy for someone arriving for the first time to find a story worth following. That's why the homepage now puts current work and these updates up front.

A question I'm working through
How much of a personal website should explain who I am, and how much should show what I'm doing right now?
My working answer is to give people a short introduction, then something concrete to explore. A project becomes more interesting when you can see the question behind it and what happens next.
Something you can use
The weekly-review template is a simple way to turn a busy week into lessons and a next step. It asks four things: what happened, what you learned, what matters next, and what you'll commit to.
Try the last question first: what is the one thing that would make next week meaningful? Write down the next action and give it a place in your calendar.
What comes next
I'll share progress on the projects I'm working on, the decisions behind them, and useful things I find along the way. You can see the latest snapshot on my Now page.
What would you like to hear more about? Send me a note—I'd like to know.
