2026
  • The best time to start was yesterday. The second best time is now. February

Spent too long researching the "perfect" way to build this website before realizing I just needed to start. Perfectionism is procrastination in disguise. Ship it, then iterate.

  • Your lifestyle should lag your income by at least two years January

After completing a no-spend month, realized how much lifestyle inflation had crept in. The gap between what you earn and what you spend is what creates freedom.

  • Focus on inputs, not outputs January

Can't control whether a project succeeds, but can control showing up every day and doing the work. Focusing on process over outcomes reduces anxiety and increases consistency.

2025
  • Be the friend who reaches out first December

Everyone is waiting for someone else to make the first move. The person who initiates builds the deepest relationships. Don't keep score on who texted last.

  • Travel while you're young and healthy November

You can always make more money, but you can't make more time or recapture youth. The experiences and perspectives gained from travel are irreplaceable.

  • You don't rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems October

Goals are for setting direction. Systems are for making progress. After failing to stick to vague resolutions, started building specific daily habits instead.
